Cami
Cami Okubo joined ASIJ in 2024 as our Director of Admissions. Cami holds a Master’s in Educational Administration from Central Washington University and brings extensive experience in school leadership, having served as an elementary principal at Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C., and the American International School in Hong Kong, as well as principal and teacher in public schools in San Francisco and Washington State. Cami previously spent a year in Japan in Saga on the the Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) program and is thrilled to be back in a country she loves with her son and her husband who has also served as a teacher, carpenter's apprentice, and architect in Itakura, Kyoto, and Tokyo.
